different collaborative projects such as the documentary
miniseries AMAzones de mitos y visiones and at the Cuzco
Independence Biennial. One of his main interests is how the
individual is constructed in a fragmented and chaotic space
such as the city. His works reflect the search for identity in a
diverse and complex territory such as Peru.
De Loayza get’s inspired by ideals, religious and mythological
beliefs, as a starting point to draw his own imaginary that
corresponds to the collectivity and ancestral memory within
the landscape that one inhabits, transmitting the connection
between the earthly and spiritual world, seeking harmony
between human beings, non-humans and the territory.
Through paintings, sculptures, video or installation, he
represents the transformation and diversity of the territory,
incorporating symbolic and mythological elements. Seeking to
promote the preservation of cultural identity and the inclusion
of the ancestral in the contemporary world, generating a
reflection on the need to meet again in unity as a civilization
with ourselves and with what sustains us.
