Fredy Tuanama

Fredy Tuanama (Loreto, 1994) was born in 1994 in Orellana,
Loreto. He studied at the school of Eduardo Meza Saravia
in Pucallpa. He began to study Shipibo designs, taking an
interest in giving effects of perspective, his first works are
characterized by this style.

He also began to participate in mural festivals in different cities
of Peru and in the Republic of Ecuador. From then until now
his works have varied, thus highlighting his innovation in the
arts of the Kené patrons.

His research with respect to the perspective of Kené has
participated in various national and international group
exhibitions receiving good appreciation from critics, his
participation in the International Biennial of Indigenous Art in
2019 and 2020 in the USA stands out.

His work is currently part of the Hochschild-Correa Collection,
one of the most important collections in Latin America.
