Wilma Maynas Inuma (Panaillo, Ucayali, 1964) is a Shipibo-
Konibo artist. She makes his works with ceramics, backstrap
loom and paints with natural dyes (mahogany, almond and
guava bark).
She uses elements of nature for his works; Use clay as a
fixative. She is also a bilingual teacher and professor of
Traditional Art at the National School of Fine Arts in Lima, and
has participated in numerous exhibitions inside and outside
her country. In 2020 she received the Meritorious Personality
of Culture award granted by the Ministry of Culture of his
country.
She has traveled through Brazil, Mexico and the United States
painting murals, with the intention of promoting his culture.
She also accepts invitations to give lectures on his art in
educational institutions. She founded the Shipibo Konibo
Research Center and Graphic Workshop and participated in
the mural Corazón de Carachama.
